OK Google | Google Brings Speech To Search

Today Google releases OK Google bringing popular speech search to Chrome browsers.  All you need is a microphone and Google's Chrome Browser.

With Chrome open, just say, "OK Google" and ask your question or give your search term.

The new OK Google is compatible with Google Chrome and you can try it now, for free.

All you need is the Chrome browser, a microphone and the OK Google extension.  Once you're ready to test it out, just open your Google.com webpage and start your search by saying, OK Google.  Then it works just like a normal voice search.

It's great if you need a hands free way to check for quick questions like, how many ounces are in a cup during the holiday season but as of right now it's no where near as useful as the x Moto version which is always available, even when in sleep mode.

For OK Google to work, you need to have the Google.com webpage or search open and waiting, so if it's in the background it might not be as convenient.

Google is sure to improve their new speech to search feature, but for now it seems to be no more than a fun techy toy in the works.

You can download it here and try it today.
